Advocacy at the Local, State and National Levels
Everyone needs someone to be on their side. Your membership provides teams watching your company’s back at the local, state and national level when it comes to political action that affects the building industry.
Locally, the HBA monitors rules and regulations set forth by our local jurisdiction, opposing those that don’t align with the goals of safe and affordable housing. The Association also vets local political candidates and endorses those with pro-building platforms.
In Olympia and Washington D. C., BIAW and NAHB have lobbyists working year-round monitoring and researching proposed bills, supporting the good and fighting the bad.
Health Insurance
The BIAW health insurance program offers HBATC members an affordable health insurance option. As one of the largest multi-employer health care purchasing alliances in the Northwest, members are able to choose competitive health insurance options that fit their company’s individual needs. Purchasing power, excellent benefits, and rate stability are the cornerstones of the program.
