sure a contractor is licensed with a bond and insurance at the Washington State Department of Labor &
Industries website.

It is a good idea to check with the Better Business Bureau to see
if there are any unresolved issues regarding a contractor. In the

Suspect Fraud
Check with the state before it's too late! The Washington
Department of Revenue's Suspect Fraud site allows you to find out if a
business is registered, report unlicensed businesses, report other
types of fraud and more.
Dispute Resolution Center of Tri-Cities
If you are having problems with a local construction
professional, one option you have is mediation. Mediation is a
voluntary problem solving and dispute resolution process in which a
mediator helps people to reach their own mutually acceptable
agreement. The Dispute Resolution Center of Tri-Cities is a
non-profit corporation that facilitates dispute resolution and
improved communication through mediation, education, and training.
